The new authorized vehicle freight charges for boat/ship passage will not be implemented from 1st of July as earlier stated by the Fiji Commerce Commission.

The Commission in a statement says a date on when it will come into effect will be announced later, however no reason has been provided on the decision.

Meanwhile authorized passenger fares for boat/ship passage and authorized general cargo freight charges for boat/ship passage will come into effect from 1st of July.

Amendments to inter-island shipping fares and freight charges in the maritime islands in Fiji were made under the Commerce Commission Decree 2010.
