New FNU campus to accommodate more students

The Fiji National University Campus in Labasa which is currently under construction is expected to accommodate more than 1,000 students.

This was revealed by the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s office – Yogesh Karan following his visit to the construction site.

Karan says he’s impressed with the fact that the student number is going to increase from the current 660 to about 1,200.

As Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s instruction, the school is to be completed before the new school year starts.

The cost of the project is expected to be at $36 million.
