The new kitchen, dining hall and a multipurpose hall at the Ba Corrections Centre officially opened this morning.

The building was partially damaged by TC Winston in 2016.

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, says the new facilities will help raise the standard of the Correctional Facility.

Around $600,000 was spent on the reconstruction.

Work started in May last year.
