The first consignment of dalo export will leave the country for China this weekend.

The initiative was made possible through negotiations by Prime Minister – Voreqe Bainimarama.

Agro-Marketing Chief Executive – Alifereti Yaya says work is now being carried out to ensure the two containers are ready for shipment.

Agro- marketing is buying the dalo from farmers at $1.20 a kilogram.

Consumers in China can be rest assured that A-grade dalo known as the"Uro – Ni – Vonu" will be available for consumption soon.
