New curriculum for Early Childhood Education

Three new programmes will be introduced in schools soon to educate students on the issues of Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking.

Johnny Engel Hansen the Deputy Head of the European Union to the Pacific launched the new books and says this is part of continued efforts to eliminate violence against children.

“These three new projects, they strengthen the place of children and child protection if Fiji’s education system and society.”

Senior Education Officer Satendra Singh says the Ministry will do whatever it can to educate students on how to protect themselves.

The new curriculum will also enable community and students to develop action plans to stop violence in their own communities.
