The South Pacific Stock Exchange is currently in talks with two prominent companies who wish to join the stock market.

Manager Operations, Pretesh Prasad says these companies are working with their investment advisors to finalize their listings.

Prasad says the companies are expected to be listed by the first quarter of next year.

“When a company plans to go public or list, it usually doesn’t happen over a couple of months. So these companies have been working on re-structuring internally and just to make the companies marketable to shareholders and meet the requirements of the Stock Exchange.”

Currently, nineteen companies are listed on the South Pacific Stock Exchange.
