Villagers of Naidi in Savusavu are today enjoying their new $75, 000 art-focused Community Hall.

Constructed in only eight weeks, the new hall was built through funds raised by the Jazmin Foundation.

The Jazmin Foundation is founded and managed by Jazmin Grace Grimaldi the daughter of Prince Albert II of Monacco.

A singer and artist by profession Grimaldi couldn’t control her emotions when she first entered the community hall.

She told the villagers of Naidi she wanted to help provide a space where the community can come together to share their passion and creativity.

Grimaldi says it will be a place to come together to sing, drink kava, learn to play music, sell handicraft and hold meetings.

Village headman Vosamana Baravilala says the village has been without a community hall for about 7 years now and they are thankful to the Jazmin Foundation.

This is the first time the Foundation has funded a community hall.
