Vatukalo Village on Ovalau Island now has a new communal centre.

The village’s previous centre was lost to Cyclone Winston in 2016.

Village Chief Luke Sikiveta says the centre will help the 300 villagers in many ways.

Sikiveta says they are grateful and fortunate to be assisted by both teams of Fulton Hogan Hiways Joint venture and Fulton Hogan New Zealand.

Fulton Hogan raised more than $200,000 for the project.
