A new Coconut Producers Association has been formed with the assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Fiji Crop and Livestock Council.

Copra Millers Association Acting General Manager – John Deo says the association comprises of five committee members and two hundred copra farmers.

He says the association will give a voice to copra farmers in Fiji.

“The association will have pocket meetings in different areas and the concerns of our coconut farmers will be raised and brought up to the national level.”

A majority of the members are from Cakaudrove in the Northern division.
