It was a joyous moment for 15 students at the Korotale Kindergarten when Education Minister Dr. Mahendra Reddy opened their new classroom.

Korotale is a multi-ethnic settlement in Ra which had been trying to establish a kindergarten centre within their vicinity.

The occasion yesterday was a dream come true for the students, parents and the community of Korotale.

Dr Reddy says the classroom is a symbol of unity within the community.

The Ministry provided $20,000 to build the kindergarten centre.
