Fiji Airways, has appointed David Bowden as its Chief Financial Officer.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Bowden is an experienced aviation & finance professional, with over 10 years of experience in airlines, holidays and leisure companies.
As CFO at Fiji Airways, he will head up the airline’s Finance, Procurement and Information Technology functions based at its Head Office in Nadi.
Managing Director Stefan Pichler says they’re pleased to have someone of Bowden’s expertise and drive on board as the airline finalises the purchase of a fourth new A330 and the budget for 2015.
A key part of Bowden’s role will be to mentor senior local managers in the Finance and IT teams and build internal airline finance capacity.
Bowden is also tasked immediately to finalise and implement Fiji Airways’ fuel and currency hedging plans.
