New buses for Vanua Levu

Three new buses acquired by a Labasa bus operator this morning will change the way passengers travel on long distances.

The Managing Director of Dalip Chand and Son Limited, Rohinil Chand says
they’re doing this for the people of the North.

“The first three buses of the company is going to Vanua Levu and we’re going to get more coaches for the people of Vanua Levu and in six months, eight more buses will come in to cater for the people at the North."

The buses were manufactured by PA Lal Group of Companies in Lami.

Home Finance Company chief executive, Isikeli Tikoduadua says they’re supporting the move as they believe this will provide better transport to the public.
The buses will be shipped to the North tomorrow.
And the services will begin on Thursday between Labasa and Savusavu.
