Fijians can now access the contacts of government ministries via a new app that was launched by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today.

He says the app offers two key services under the DigitalFiji umbrella which are my-Feedback Fiji and Directory-At-Gov.

“It has a lot of exciting potential that’s going to make a real difference in the lives of our people, and today is only the start of our work to transform the way Fijians engage with each other and with their Government. Through DigitalFiji, Fijians will be able to access that style of leadership directly in the palm of their hands, and their voices can now affect change in their day to day lives more quickly and conveniently than ever before.”

Bainimarama says more Fijians are spending time on the internet and on their phones and that is where government services need to be offered.

The Prime Minister says he expects all permanent secretaries and civil servants to ensure that an up-to-date accurate information is readily available in real-time for all Fijians.

The app was made possible through the government’s and Singapore Cooperation Enterprise’s work.

The government is expected to launch more apps in August.
