NEC volunteers get permanent employment

Out of the 1834 people registered with the National Employment Centre this year, 562 have secured permanent employment while 411 are on a 6 month work attachment.

The centre says hopes are high that more employment opportunities will be created in days to come.

Most of them are employed in the wholesale and retail sector while seven have secured foreign employment.

The Centre says they will have more employer consultations this year, in an effort to create more job opportunities.

A total of $400,000 was allocated this year to train volunteers.
