Navuso students showcase produce at open day

The Navuso Agricultural Technical Institute held its first open day for the public, where students showcased their farm produce and skills.

The Agriculture Ministry’s Deputy Secretary for Corporate Services and Planning, Vatimi Rayalu reminded students that success does not come easy.

Rayalu urged students to work hard, be honest and make good use of their time at the institute.

He says the Ministry is looking forward to having more students from Navuso to be replacement farmers in the future.

Currently, there are more than eighty students enrolled at the Institute who are involved in different programs up to certificate level.

The programs include animal husbandry, crop husbandry, aquaculture, Farm Management, dairy production, poultry production, woodwork, metal work and engineering.

The Government through the Ministry of Agriculture supports the Institute with financial grants annually.
