Navua Hospital upgrades

The repairs and upgrades to the Navua Hospital which was opened in August is progressing, this after complaints that some of the facilities at the newly built hospital was not functioning.

Minister for Health Jone Usamate says he is aware that the work has been undertaken.

“I think there was a problem with the drainage system with the size of the piping that is being replaced but at the same time people were using the wrong things in the toilet and the piping that takes things out of the hospital is being replaced so yes, work is progressing on that.”

The Hospital is an important service for people in the Navua-Suva corridor.
Usamate says he expects the works to be completed soon.
