The planning phase for a new market and bus stand in Nausori is complete and a new location has been chosen.

The new market and bus stand will be situated at the old golf course which closed in the 70’s.

Nausori Town Special Administrator Napolioni Masirewa says consultations have begun with market vendors.

“We’ve done some temporary repairs on the existing market to allow us to work out the spacing issue and that is the total number of stalls that can be created under new market and we’ve started talking with vendors.”

According to Masirewa once the market and bus stand is relocated, the existing space will be fully utilised, but to what, will be revealed later.
