Nausori to have CCTV cameras by March

The Nausori Town Council will soon install CCTV cameras in and around Nausori town.

Town Council Chief Executive, Akhtar Ali says these CCTV cameras will be installed in areas identified by relevant stake holders to be red zone areas.

“These are the domed shaped CCTV cameras with the latest technology which can capture 360 degrees in all directions. This is something that is done in conjunction with the Nausori Business of Commerce, business stake holders in Nausori and the Nausori Police Enforcement Unit together with the Nausori Division Police Commander and Nausori Town Council.”

Ali says the installations of the 22 cameras will begin from the Rups Big Bear Complex in Nakasi, Nausori town right down to Lakena industrial area.

The installations of these cameras will begin in March.
