Nauru reps learn from FICAC

Representatives of a Nauruan group – Emendena Eimwi paid a special visit to FICAC to learn more about ways of addressing the ills of bribery and corruption in Fiji and its social and legal implications.

The focus of their fact finding visit was to learn about the proactive measures that FICAC currently employs in ensuring that the gospel of anti corruption is taken to the civil servants, community groups, the private sector, tertiary institutions, and schools.

Emendena Eimwi is a Non Government Organisation that was recently established to create awareness and educate its citizens about corruption and bribery in Nauru.

The 16 member group were in Fiji on a two week attachment with FICAC that ended yesterday.

The group says they will implement the strategies of drawing public awareness and lobbying the Nauru government to address their anti-corruption efforts.
