More than ninety percent of women who are part of the first ever All Nations Christian Fellowship Craft show in Nausori use natural resources to make their crafts.
The Craft show Committee member, Elesi Ranavue says the use of natural resources is a requirement for the 200 artisans’ during the three-day craft show.
Ranavue says the requirement has moved the show to the next level.
“Most of the women are just staying at home but because of the talents they have and the resources that are around us, they are using this resources for these crafts. It is really helping the families because whatever they get from these resources, they use their hands in doing these crafts and it’s a source of income to them, helping their families especially with the food and also the education of their children and their grandchildren.”
Ranavue says the show will be an annual event for the Nausori ANCF Women.
The three-day craft show ends tomorrow.
