The Water Authority of Fiji is advising public to store water for backup supply.

The authority says all major water systems are operating normally but people need to be prepared.

General Manager Customer services and acting general manager operations, Sekove Uluinayau says due to the bad weather, water treatment problems can arise.

The Authority says customers need to be proactive and have adequate supply of stored water to cover their needs during the rainy weather.

WAF says people should also harvest rainwater and use it for other things like washing and bathing.

WAF says areas affected with water problem has been fully restored in the Northern Division.

The Authority is urging public to boil water before drinking as well.
