People in Rotuma have been experiencing cloudy conditions for the past few days.

Danny Grey from Motusa told FBC News this morning that not much rain has been experienced on the island and the sea has been calm.

Grey says they are only experiencing light showers which is sometimes heavy at night.

When asked about the preparation for Tropical Cyclone Mona, he says people on the island are carrying out their normal routine but are aware of the advisories in place.

He adds there has not been any signs of strong winds as well.
