Rewa Delta prepares for TC Ana

People living in flood prone areas in the Rewa Delta have been preparing since midday yesterday.

Nabitu villager Epeli Rabaka says they have learnt a lot from previous cyclones where they were caught off guard for not monitoring weather bulletins.

Rabaka says Fijians living in flood-prone areas like the Rewa Delta are prepared if worse comes to worse.

Some living in Buretu and Wailoaloa settlement were moved to the evacuation centre as a proactive measure with Tropical Cyclone Ana slowly approaching.

Evacuation centres have been activated to accommodate those that need safe shelter.
