Strong winds and torrential rain is currently affecting Rakiraki.
Chandra Wati of Volivoli in Rakiraki says the wind started at 2pm yesterday and has been intensifying since.
The 53-year-old says heavy rain has caused flooding in some low lying areas.
Power in the area is also off and people are using solar-powered lights and lanterns as they await TC Ana to make landfall in the province.
The Fiji Meteorological Service says in its current projected path, TC Ana is expected to make landfall early this morning before it makes its way down to the Central Division.
Fijians are urged to brace themselves as TC Ana has intensified into a category system.
