PM visits evacuees at Draiba

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today took the time out to visit evacuees at Draiba Primary School.

While at the school, Bainimarama was informed by the Headman of Korova settlement the status of the people at the evacuation centre.

Headman, Waqaciri Dokosabau says they left their homes at 2pm yesterday to find shelter at Draiba Primary School.

Dokosabau says their homes are not flooded, however since they live near the shores, they were advised to evacuate.

He says a total of 62 people are at the evacuation centre with 38 adults and 24 children.
