The Labasa Hospital

The Labasa Hospital has suspended all general outpatient services and the public have been advised to take heed of this.

According to the Northern Emergency Operation center, staff have commended 12 hour shifts as of 9am.

Health authorities have activated their emergency operation and are on standby.

All air and shipping services in the Northern division remain cancelled.

This has been confirmed by the North Emergency Operation Centre in their situation report this morning.

Bus services in some parts of Vanua Levu has also been suspended due to the weather situation.

Bus services from Tukavesi to Savusavu and vice versa have been suspended as well as services from Labasa to Wainunu and Kubulau.

The suspension has been called for precautionary purposes.

Meanwhile, there is no bus service in Savusavu today.
