FRA conducting assessment at Dilkusha Road slip

The Dilkusha Road along Princes Road is still closed to all traffic as the road slip near the road remains unstable.

The Fiji Roads Authority has engaged geo-technical engineers to conduct assessments at the Dilkusha slip.

FRA confirms two slips have been cleared and the debris from the third slip is currently being removed.

FRA says the road will only be opened to traffic once the area is deemed safe after all assessments are carried out.

Meanwhile, two vehicles were caught in the landslide yesterday, tumbling down to the river bank as a result of the slips however no one was injured.

Motorists in the area are advised to find an alternate route while the Authority works to clear the road.
