Village Headman Ratu Viliame Tagivakatau says they started experiencing heavy rain and strong winds from early this afternoon and it’s becoming more intense.

Ratu Viliame says the water level at the river is also increasing so they are keeping watch.

He adds, the villagers are aware of the evacuation centres.

Bua Village suffered major damage from strong winds and flooding during TC Yasa.
