With more than 30 prospective employers under one roof, the two-day event is expected to not only garner employment for hundreds of Fijians, it’s also expected to reinvigorate the employment sector.

The event will also provide a platform for applicants to look at pathways into their choice of career in addition to practical skills such as CV writing and how to master your job interview training on offer free of charge.

Deputy Secretary from the Employment Ministry, Vilimone Baledrokadroka, says the event is primarily to create opportunities for all Fijians.

“It’s also aligned with our national employment policy that was just launched earlier this year with a particular priority on priority one. There are actually 10 priority areas on the National Employment Policy. This job fair is linked directly to priority one which is really providing a pathway for school leavers.”

The fair will be held at the National Gymnasium in Suva from 8am to 5pm for both days.
