National Job Fair begins today

The inaugural National Job Fair begins today and more than 30 organizations and higher education providers will be part of this.

The job fair targets young people allowing them get informed of the clear pathway from education to productive employment.

Event coordinator, Karen Fong says the job fair is a one stop destination for Fijians who are seeking jobs.

Fong adds that the Fair promotes the hiring and career development of all individuals regardless of their qualification.

“They will be able to see over 30 organizations in one place. They will be offering positions and hiring people in their companies. The higher education providers will also be advising on how they can further the education. Job seekers should come prepared and confident. They should not be nervous and meet with the companies. Some companies have around 85 positions to fill.”

Fong says this allows for a direct human approach and is encouraging everyone to attend and take advantage of the opportunities available.

The National Job Fair starts today at the FMF Gymnasium and will end on Thursday evening.
