Nasinu Secondary School marked its 35th anniversary today.
Students, parents, teachers, old scholars and even the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama were part of the celebrations.
Old Scholars Association President Waisea Bolatolu says they not only believe in providing education to local students, but neighbouring countries as well.
The school currently has thirty four Pacific Islands students, 21 from Nauru, nine from Tuvalu, one from PNG and three from Vanuatu.
“We have had students who have now reached government, the civil servants, permanent secretary level, deputy secretaries and directors.”
Nasinu Secondary School was opened in 1980 with a roll of just over one hundred students.
The school now has more than nine hundred students.
