Namosimalua seeks legal advice from Solicitor General on sexual misconduct allegations

Secretary-General to Parliament- Viniana Namosimalua has revealed to FBC News that a report on allegations of sexual misconduct involving a senior staff has been forwarded to the Solicitor General’s office for legal advice.

The senior parliament staff who was suspended for three months in September without pay has since being reinstated.

The issue came to light after allegations were published that there were inappropriate relations between two married Opposition MPs and the Parliamentary staffer which took place at a workshop.

It’s understood proper procedures weren’t followed in the lead up to the suspension which is why a legal opinion is now being sought.
