Namosi wants compensation for name use

July 22, 2012 7:10 pm

The Namosi Provincial Council will propose to the Namosi Joing Venture – the company involved in the Waisoi mine proposal to pay for using the name of the province in its company title.

A special meeting last week with the Tikina Namosi Landowners Committee resolved the need to get the company to explain how it got its name and try to get compensation.

Council members and landowners say they don’t know how NJV took its name.
