31 year old Ilaitia Nalawa who is charged with raping a 9 year old girl in Nakasi in August appeared in the Suva High Court this morning.

The final pre-trial conference for Nalawa will be called on the 3rd of December.

The trial proper will start on the 21st of the same month.

Nalawa also has a pending case in the Lautoka High Court where he and three others allegedly broke into a villa in Rakiraki and robbed a Canadian couple in March last year.

For this, he is charged with one count each of rape, assault with intent to rape, aggravated robbery and theft regarding a separate incident.

The man has been further remanded.
