Nakasi Nausori four lane road to open in few days

The Nakasi-Nausori four-lane road is expected to open in the next few days.
Fiji Roads Authority Chief Executive, Jonathan Moore says they want to ensure that traffic signals are operational before the road is opened.
He adds the wet weather has delayed completion.
“When we open the road the only thing that won’t be complete is the cycle track because the next phase of this work is to install ducting for EFL cable to go underground and we have to redo all the cabling work to allow the poles to be taken down and some of those poles are in the cycle track right now . So end of this month or beginning of next month the road should be open, the footpath will be ok but the cycle track in certain places may not be usable.”
The 3.8 kilometre upgrade is expected to ease traffic congestion for residents and daily commuters along the busy corridor.
