The Nadi Town Council has announced a 100- percent waiver of interest on all town rates arrears between now and 31st December.

Nadi Special Administrator Aisea Tuidraki says, the waiver only applies to rate payers, who’ll pay their arrears in full.

The Nadi Town Council is owed around 1- million dollars of town rate arrears.

Tuidraki says some rate payers have owed arrears since 2000.

According to Tuidraki the arrears are owed by residents and businesses.
