The latest news from Nadi is that residents living behind Prince Charles Park are still stuck on rooftops of their homes.

They have been stranded there from the day and are urging the authorities to help them as it is now night.

With flood waters having reached to about eight feet and high tide tonight, the residents are fearing for their safety.

In Waqadra, Nadi, resident Abdul Alim says 12 families have left their homes and are currently in a boat but darkness is proving to be a hindrance.

He says without light they are not sure which direction and where they are heading.
