A man alleged to have attacked his brother with a cane knife and later set his house on fire will appear at the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

The man has been charged with one count of arson.

He was also on the run from Police for fraud cases.

Its alleged he wanted to use his brother’s vehicle last Thursday, however, was not given permission to.

The suspect is alleged to have pulled out a cane knife and tried to attack his brother.

The man later went to his brother’s house and allegedly set fire to the four bedroom home which was fully destroyed.

No one was injured in the process.
