MWH departure delays FRA projects

The departure of MWH in September last year has led to a delay of many projects being carried out by the Fiji Roads Authority.

MWH was contracted with FRA for Professional Services.

Chief executive, John Hutchinson, says they have to go an extra mile to get back on track.

“A lot of the work in terms of scoping, design work and physically tendering and managing the procurement processes used to be undertaken by MWH, that is now not the case and clearly that absence has held us up.”

Hutchinson says FRA is also working on getting 2017/2018 projects out to market by next month

Most work was left unfinished when MWH Global terminated its contract with FRA in September last year.
