Music Director of the Catholic Church in Fiji, Suva, Damiano Logaivau says many issues in our societies can be solved by using different forms of entertainment and music is one.
He made the comments last night during the church’s launch on Climate Change song titled: ‘Climate Change Victims Lament at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Crypt in Suva.’
He says the song was written by the Head of the Catholic Church of Fiji Archbishop Peter Loy Chong.
“All we did was put instrumentation and the structure of the melody and the harmonization just to internalize and intensify the language of the cry.”
The song will be recorded and uploaded on YouTube and posted on all social media platforms to give as many people as possible the chance to hear the original piece and also raise more awareness on climate change.
