The second prosecution witness, Kindergarten teacher Miliana Utuvou will take her stand in the murder trial of former pilot Imshad Izrar Ali today at the Suva High Court.

Police Crimes Officer Maha Ram was cross examined yesterday by defense counsel Abhay Singh.

During his cross examination Maha Ram said the accused was given all his rights before the caution interview started on November 13th, 2009.

It is alleged on November 3rd, Ali murdered his de facto-partner Rajeshni Sharma who was an early childhood Teacher in Rewa Street, Samabula.

Ali’s Defense lawyer argued his client was assaulted but Ram claimed otherwise.
