A suspect is in Police custody following the death of a 14 year old girl in Pacific Harbour on Monday.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says the death of the class 7 student of Lomary Primary School is alleged to be a brutal murder.

Brigadier General Qiliho says others are still being questioned.

The commissioner says the perpetrator or perpetrators will be taken to task, however he hasn’t confirmed how many suspects are being questioned.

The body of the girl was found at a beach in Pacific Harbour on Monday.

The deceased was reported missing on Sunday by her mother.
