Mums work with National Taskforce for Drug Harm Prevention

Fiji’s Ministry of Mums are working with the National Taskforce for Drug Harm Prevention to help eradicate the use of drugs.

Founder of the MOM’s Group, Ellana Kalounisiga says children nowadays need the support and they need all the information to make to the right decisions.

Kalounisiga says they want youth to come out and seek help without feeling ashamed.

“We will be brainstorming our action plans and moving hopefully towards rehab centers for kids to create safe spaces for them to come and share and feel like they belong and give some direction in their lives and just support.”

Kalounisiga says mothers play an important role in their families and this group aims to address the growing drug issues within the communities.
