The Fiji Muslim League says that it is in the process of transforming the Makoi Vocational Center into a multi-faceted area to cater for women.

The League owns eight acres of land in Nasinu which currently houses the Makoi Women’s Vocational center and plans are in place to have a new school constructed.

An all-girls high school is expected to be constructed by the Fiji Muslim League at Makoi Nasinu within two years.

President, Hafizud Dean Khan says the League is currently working on its budget for the project.

“We want to start hopefully next year. It’s a much bigger budget so we want to find out how our funding will work out and we will have to look for overseas donors and maybe the Government can help us a bit.”

Meanwhile, the Makoi Women’s Vocational Training Centre has opened up numerous opportunities for women who were not able to complete their education.
