August 13, 2018 10:05 pm

Students from the Muanidevo Primary School in Dreketi will now no longer need to travel to Labasa for their ICT needs.

Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum opened a new ICT Lab at the school yesterday afternoon.

The newly renovated lab along with twenty computer sets were bought from funds donated by former students.

Former Students Association president, Inder Deo Bisun says the ICT lab has been a dream for the ex-students.

The AG’s office also assisted the school through the wiring and setting up of the computer sets as well as the provision of an air conditioning unit for the lab.

Sayed-Khaiyum says government is always appreciative of such partnerships and he will discuss with the Ministry of Education about sending qualified personnel to teach ICT at the school.

The school will be running an ICT programme this two weeks holiday and hope to run ICT education classes for the public from 4pm to 10pm.
