Government is now working around the clock to stop illegal transactions within our borders.

In a bid to overcome this, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between the Marine Safety Authority of Fiji and the Financial Intelligence Unit.

MSAF CEO Neal Slack says with more than 300 islands, Fiji is exposed to illegal activities such as unlawful transactions.

He says to reduce the risk, Government has put up strategies, to track down illegal activities.

He maintains their main responsibility is the safety and protection of the maritime industry.
