People in the Northern Division who are living in the low lying areas are urged to move to higher grounds now.
Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea says it is better that people move now than to move when it’s dark which is more risky.
The Northern division is currently feeling the wrath of TC Winston, with winds picking up speed and the heavy rain continuing from early morning.
Vocea says all necessary precaution must be taken now before it is too late.
Savusavu and Taveuni continue to feel the heavy presence of TC Winston with the strong winds and rain.
Vocea is expected to given an updated report of TC Winston in Vanua Levu at 4.30pm.
