A Bill for an Act to revise, simplify and consolidate the laws relating to Income Tax has been passed.

The motion was out forward by the chair of the Justice, Law and Human Rights Committee Ashneel Sudhakar.

The motion was passed by 25 votes.

The report tabled by Sudhakar attempts to consolidate the laws that were previously dealing with the Capital Gains Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, Income Tax and Business and Company Tax.
