Motion defeated in Parliament

A motion to raise awareness through mass awareness media campaigns and review current policies to eradicate human trafficking in Fiji was defeated in Parliament last night.

While acknowledging the efforts by the Government so far to combat trafficking, Opposition MP Salote Radrodro brought forth the motion saying it was a global issue that needs more.

The motion was defeated with 14-yes, 32-No and four abstained.
