Atelaite Baleisuva appeared at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today charged with one count of failure to supply necessaries.

The 21-year-old is the mother of the two year old who was found wandering alone outside the house of a police officer at Pritam Singh Road in Makoi on Monday.

Magistrates Charles Ratakele told the woman that she is being charged for being irresponsible and expects her to be more responsible now.

The woman has been granted bail with two sureties.

She will re-appear in court on the 2nd of October.
